It Is Written
Read: Luke 4: 1-13
Meditation verse:“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16)
When Satan tempted Jesus as He came out from the wilderness after forty days and night of fasting, Jesus overcame him with the words “it is written…” Three times the devil tried, and three times Jesus withstood him with scriptures. The word of God works in all and for every situation. “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). There is an “it is written for every situation that you are currently passing through.
If you are in lack, remember that it is written “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want” (Ps 23:1). If you are afraid, remember that it is written “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall, I fear? (Ps 27:1) or “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). When you doubt your ability to take on a task and succeed, remember that it is written “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. When faced with trails and temptations, remember that it is written “no temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1 Cor 10:13).
What are you currently battling in your life? Which ‘it is written’ can you apply to that situation? “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Go ahead, say to that situation: “it is written…

Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?
He says in Mathew 11:28, “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He longs to give you rest."
Would you like to do so now? Here’s a prayer you can say:
Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.
