CREATING MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME

Read: ECCLESIASTES 11:1-8

Meditation verse:“In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand: for you do not know which will prosper. Either this or that, or whether, both alike will be good” (Ecclesiastes 11:6).

God’s blessings are always manifested in multiple streams of resources. In blessing Abraham, He gave him flocks, herds, silver, gold, menservants, maidservants, camels, and donkeys (Genesis 24:35). Isaac had possessions of flocks, of herds and a great number of servants. He prospered, continued to prosper, until he became very prosperous (Genesis 26:13 -14). God has made this same grace of multiple resources available to us who are the New Testament church. He has given you the grace to excel and be sufficient in all things, so that you may overflow with abundance for every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8).

God has equipped you with gifts, talents, abilities, and experiences that can be used to generate various streams of revenue. He has commanded you to sow in the morning and evening. To achieve financial security in today’s economy, you will need to create at least one additional stream of income to your major source. Do not be like the woman in 2 Kings 4:1, who found herself in financial difficulty when her only source of income dried up with the death of her husband. There is so much you can do to create wealth from your talents. So, clarify the value you have that other people need and are willing to pay for. Seize the opportunities that life offers and get your that value working for you. Start from where you are and with what you have. Do not despise the day of small beginnings. What you have is always sufficient for the task at hand. You only need a discerning spirit and willing hands.

Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?

Jesus says in Mathew 11:28; “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. No matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been, this invitation is for you. Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart; all you need to do is invite Him in, by believing and receiving Him.

Are you ready? Here’s a prayer you can say right now:

Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of grace. I believe that Jesus died to set me free from my sins. Thank You Jesus for dying to save me. Please forgive me for all my sins and come into my heart. Be my Lord and Saviour. Fill me with Your Spirit and enable me to live for You from now onwards, in Jesus’ name, Amen
