BREAK FORTH

 Read: ISAIAH 58: 6-12

Meditation verse:

“Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard” (Isaiah 58:8).

To “break forth” means to be forcefully separated from the usual and move forward in time, place, and degree. It is to be divided from the status quo and come out in view into a higher place or position. It also means to burst out suddenly or emerge. Synonyms of “break forth” include break loose, explode, launch, shoot out, forcefully eject, burst forth and change state. We can safely conclude from the above definitions, that breaking forth will not occur by happenstance. Indeed, Newton’s first law of motion states that “an object either remains at rest or continues to move at a constant velocity unless it is acted upon by an external force”. The second law states that “the rate of change of momentum of an object is directly proportional to the force applied”.

If you desire a change in any area of life, you must be willing to break loose from the status quo and do something different. The greater the degree of change the more the force required. A popular saying goes this way, “insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result”. Greatness can hardly be found in your comfort zone, only mediocrity resides there.

There are various forces that you can engage to break forth:

    • The force of prayers. God invites us to ask so that we can receive. (Mathew 7:7)
    • The force of the word. The word of God is powerful. It is a creator that brings things to being. (Hebrews 4:12)
    • The force of fasting. Certain breakthroughs can only occur by fasting. (Mathew 17:21)
    • The force of faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence of what we cannot see. Without faith, you cannot please God. (Hebrews 11:6). The bible likens a double minded man to the waves of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. (James 1:8)
    • The force of tithing and giving. Give to God and to all men, especially the poor. God said, bring in all the tithes and prove me and try me, see if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour down a blessing you cannot contain. (Malachi 3:10). The bible says when you give, you will receive in return.
    • The force of soul winning. When we take care of God’s business, He takes care of our own. (Mathew 6:33) Which force or forces are you willing to engage to break forth? Remember the greater the force, the greater the breaking forth.

IN HIS PRESENCE is written by Oke Chinye.
Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?

He says in Mathew 11:28, “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He longs to give you rest."

Would you like to do so now? Here’s a prayer you can say:
Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.

If you prayed this prayer, send me an email at rockteachingministry@gmail.com

I would love to pray with you personally and send you a copy of my book; ‘Living the Life’ to encourage you as you begin your new life in Christ.
