PRAYING YOUR WAY THROUGH EVERY SITUATION
Hello and welcome to my blog. I will be sharing a few things about prayer that God laid in my heart. You see prayer is an intimate two-way communication between you and God. It is you talking to your Father as well as listening to Him speak to you. A secret to a more fulfilling life in your middle years is praying through any and every situation. In the place of prayer, nothing is too insignificant or too great to talk about. If it is an issue for you, speak to God about it. Midlife throws up several emotional, psychological, physiological, and physical challenges.
In the first instance, your physical looks are no longer as they used to be, gravity has taken place in several areas. You are battling with the reality of ageing and struggling with issues of body image. Your marriage may have lost its spark. You may have concerns about your teenage children. There may be financial concerns as retirement is getting closer. Your grown children maybe leaving home, creating an empty nest in your home. You may be going through menopause which throws up a lot of emotional and physiological challenges, weight gain, decreased libido, heat flushes, anxiety, sweating and hormonal imbalance. If there’s one time you need to pray through, it is in your middle years.
You must learn to cast your cares upon the Lord and let Him carry your burdens. In the place of prayers, your burdens are exchanged for God’s yoke which is light and easy. In the place of prayers, your understanding is enlightened. In the place of prayers, your mind is renewed. In the place of prayers, your strength is restored. In the place of prayers, you call back life into the things that are dead around you. You can speak life to every area of your life where you are experiencing deadness. You do not have to live in marital deadness, or spiritual apathy, or physical weariness or financial misery. You can settle all of this in the place of prayer. Psalm 126 says: when The Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. God’s ability to restore life is beyond our understanding. Trees are burnt down and grow back, broken bones heal, dead tissues are restored. That’s the life-giving power of God. When burdened by the challenges of midlife, go to Him in prayers. Pray through those challenges.
God promises to renew your youth as the eagles. He promises to make all things new. He promises to restore the years the canker worms have eaten. He says he has given you the keys of the kingdom and whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever you lose on earth is loosed in heaven. He says you shall decree a thing and it shall be established for you. So, speak life into every area of your life that is experiencing dryness and watch God back you up. Whatever you allow is allowed, whatever you forbid is forbidden. Pray through any and every situation. Your harvest of joy and restoration will come.

Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?
He says in Mathew 11:28, “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He longs to give you rest."
Would you like to do so now? Here’s a prayer you can say:
Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.
If you prayed this prayer, send me an email at rockteachingministry@gmail.com
I would love to pray with you personally and send you a copy of my book; ‘Living the Life’ to encourage you as you begin your new life in Christ.
