MAINTAIN GOOD WORKS
Read: TITUS 3:8-14
Meditation verse:
“And let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful” (Titus 3:14)
Ephesians 2:8 says, you are saved by grace through faith and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. Our salvation is not dependent on our good works, but it should produce. Good works in our lives. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). Our lives should reflect the life of the One we call our Master. Whilst on earth, Jesus went about doing good. You are to be an example in love. Your faith should spur you on to acts of goodness and kindness.
Titus 3:14 urges us to learn to do good to others and meet their needs, else we will be unfruitful in our walk with God. To be unfruitful means not producing good or helpful results. Some Christians produce results, but are they helpful to anyone? Others are so concerned with self-preservation. John 13:35 says, “by this shall men know that you are My disciple if you have love one for another”.
Love is kind and giving, not self-seeking. It suffers long, endures all things, does not behave rudely and is not easily provoked. (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). Would men know you are God’s disciple by your words and actions? 2 Corinthians 13:5 says, “examine yourself as to whether you are in the faith”. In this new month, let us be careful to maintain good works for they are good and profitable to all.

Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?
He says in Mathew 11:28, “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He longs to give you rest."
Would you like to do so now? Here’s a prayer you can say:
Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.
If you prayed this prayer, send me an email at rockteachingministry@gmail.com
I would love to pray with you personally and send you a copy of my book; ‘Living the Life’ to encourage you as you begin your new life in Christ.
