FORGIVE AND MOVE ON

Read: Mathew 6:14-15

Meditation verse:

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

Your body responds to the way you think, feel and act. This is often called the “mind/body connection.” When you are stressed, anxious or upset, your body tries to tell you that something isn’t right. For example, high blood pressure or a stomach ulcer might develop after a particularly stressful event. Our emotions have a direct connection to our body that lets them have a big impact not only on our mental but also on our bodily state

The story is told of a lady who had been seeing a doctor for the pain in her right hand for years without much improvement. Finally, the doctor advised her to seek professional counselling. During counselling, it was discovered that she had held a grudge against her husband for years because he stood in the way of her pursuing a career.

A research paper published by a counselling Psychologist, reveals that when you have an unresolved or repressed strong emotion like anger, unforgiveness, hate, or resentment towards any man who has authority over you (such as your husband or father), over time, it affects the right part of your body. The right part of your body represents authority. When you have an unresolved emotion towards those you have authority over, (such as your child, staff, or any other subordinate), it affects the left side of your body. Repressed strong emotions affect many parts of your body and can lead to physical ailments.

Determine today to let go of the baggage of unforgiveness. It is a load that is weighing you down. Let go and let God begin to heal you. Besides, you must forgive others if you want God to forgive you. You are doing yourself a favor by forgiving. Forgiveness sets you free; it restores order and wholeness within you. By forgiving them, you are opening your heart to receive God’s blessings.

IN HIS PRESENCE is written by Oke Chinye.
Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?

He says in Mathew 11:28, “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He longs to give you rest."

Would you like to do so now? Here’s a prayer you can say:
Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.

If you prayed this prayer, send me an email at rockteachingministry@gmail.com

I would love to pray with you personally and send you a copy of my book; ‘Living the Life’ to encourage you as you begin your new life in Christ.
