BE INTENTIONAL ABOUT YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

Read: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Meditation verse:

“By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.” (2 Corinthians 13:1)

There is power in interdependence. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 states that “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken” Mathew 18:19-20 says, “Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them”. Psalm 133:1 says “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”.

Life was not designed to be lived in isolation. When God created the first man, He saw that it was not good for hm to be alone. He created woman as a companion for him. And then as humans evolved, we began to do life with one another. A famous saying goes this way, “if you want to go fast go alone, but if you want to go far go together”. Another one says that if you enjoy alone, you will suffer alone”.

Be deliberate about building mutually beneficial covenant relationships this year. A lot of your blessings are tied to your relationships. God mostly channels his blessings to us through the people in our lives. If you are struggling to building relationships and connecting with people, ask God to help you extend the cord of your life, so that you can be more accommodating of others. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you relational and communication skills. Ask Him to help be more patient, forgiving and less critical of others. The Holy Spirit is the greatest teacher, and the bible says He will teach you ALL things.

IN HIS PRESENCE is written by Oke Chinye.
Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?

He says in Mathew 11:28, “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He longs to give you rest."

Would you like to do so now? Here’s a prayer you can say:
Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.

If you prayed this prayer, send me an email at rockteachingministry@gmail.com

I would love to pray with you personally and send you a copy of my book; ‘Living the Life’ to encourage you as you begin your new life in Christ.
