THE BLESSINGS OF THE ‘STIRRING’

Read: HAGGAI 1:1-14

Meditation verse:
“So, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel … and the spirit of all the remnant of the people and they came and worked on the house of the Lord” (Haggai 1:14).

Inside your heart is a pool of ideas, dreams and visions that need to be birthed. There is a book to be written, a business to begin, a project to initiate, a relationship to develop and a dream to launch. You carry a vision which will not be birthed until your spirit is stirred. Without the stirring or restlessness, you will remain at ease. Newton’s law of motion states that “everybody continues in a state of rest or of uniform motion, unless compelled by a force to act otherwise”.

In the book of Haggai, when it was time to build His house, God stirred the hearts of the people and they worked to build it. Up until that time, they saw no need to do so, they were therefore at ease in their homes.

If you currently feel restless in your spirit, it may be the Holy Spirit stirring your heart towards what God wants you to birth in this season of your life. As God says in Isaiah 66:9, He will not bring to the time of birth and not cause delivery to take place. At the appointed time of delivery, He opens the womb. There is a blessing in the restlessness you feel. It may be that God is opening the womb of your destiny in preparation for delivery. You need to ask Him to help you process the stirring, so that you can understand what exactly needs to be birthed. In the place of prayer, you will receive clarity and strength. And once you do, begin to do what He has commanded you to do.

Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?

Jesus says in Mathew 11:28; “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. No matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been, this invitation is for you. Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart; all you need to do is invite Him in, by believing and receiving Him.

Are you ready? Here’s a prayer you can say right now:

Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of grace. I believe that Jesus died to set me free from my sins. Thank You Jesus for dying to save me. Please forgive me for all my sins and come into my heart. Be my Lord and Saviour. Fill me with Your Spirit and enable me to live for You from now onwards, in Jesus’ name, Amen

If you prayed this prayer, please email me at rockteachingministry@gmail.com and let me know about it. I would love to pray with you personally and send you a copy of my eBook; ‘Living the Life’ to encourage you as you begin your journey with Jesus.
