TAKE HEED TO SCRIPTURES
Read: 2 Timothy 3:14-17
Meditation verse:
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
The word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires (Hebrews 4:12). And Psalm 138:2 states that God has exalted His word above all His name. What this implies is that God honours His word. His word is His bond. If He has said it, He will do it. If He has promised, then it is as good as done. Another implication of this is that every promise in the scripture can be fulfilled in your life. 2 Peter 1:20 says that “knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
What value do you place on the word of God? Where is the place of scripture in your life? “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Every answer you are looking for and every solution to the issues of life can be found in the scriptures. God’s word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path (Psalm 119:105) A single revelation from scripture can alter the trajectory of your life. Psalm 119:11 says, “Your word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You”. Psalm 119:9 says’ “how shall a young man cleanse his ways? By taking heed thereto according to the word of God”.
Take heed to scriptures. Let the word of God become your doctrine and way of life. Let it shape your values. “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Mathew 4:4). “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). So, search the scriptures daily and meditate on it. Speak it over your situations and watch your life transform. Jeremiah 15:16 says “when I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name”.

Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?
He says in Mathew 11:28, “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He longs to give you rest.
Would you like to do so now? Here’s a prayer you can say:
Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.
If you prayed this prayer, send me an email at rockteachingministry@gmail.com. I would love to pray with you personally and send you a copy of my book; ‘Living the Life’ to encourage you as you begin your new life in Christ.
I look forward to hearing from you.
