LAY ASIDE THE WEIGHT
Read: HEBREWS 12:1-2
Meditation verse:
“Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 PETER 5:7)
I had been feeling weighed down by a particular concern that had to do with a close family member and it was beginning to wear me out emotionally and physically. On this morning, my eyes fell on the above scripture, and it was like a heavy burden was lifted of my shoulders. I sensed God saying to me that I was carrying a weight that was not mine to carry, and I needed to cast it down at His feet
1 Corinthians 6:20 says, for you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s”. Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me”. If you are in Christ, your life is no longer your own. You were bought with a very costly price; the bvlood of Jesus and you now have a Master. Your Master, Jesus Christ is now in charge of your life and everything that concerns you. You are meant to hand over every weight to your owner.
Coloissians 3:3-4 says, “For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory”.
For anything to get to you, it has to get through God. Is this possible? Quit fretting and lay aside the weight. It is not yours to carry. “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the [a]author and [b]finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:1-2).

Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?
He says in Mathew 11:28, “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He longs to give you rest."
Would you like to do so now? Here’s a prayer you can say:
Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.
If you prayed this prayer, send me an email at rockteachingministry@gmail.com
I would love to pray with you personally and send you a copy of my book; ‘Living the Life’ to encourage you as you begin your new life in Christ.
