In HIS Presence

IT WILL HAPPEN SUDDENLY

Read Isaiah 30:15-17

Meditation verse:

“So, then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy” (Romans 9:16)

I had a particular desire that was dear to my heart and besides praying about it, I tried everything I could to see it happen. At some point, I realized I was fretting and getting desperate. And then the above scripture ministered to me, and I decided to let go and wait for God to bring it to pass in His own time. Not long afterwards, I received a phone call informing me that I had gotten much more than I was believing God for. The call came when I was not expecting it to come. Whilst I fretted, I received nothing, when I decided to let go, I got more than I was expecting.

Isaiah 30:15-17 says, “in returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength”. Isaiah 40:31 says “but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint”. Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”.

Does it seem like that request will never be granted? Quit fretting; be still and know that He is God. No matter how long it may seem, God is never late, He is always on time. He acts in His own time and when He does, He exceeds our expectations. Psalm 126:1-3 says, “When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “the Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.

It will happen suddenly when you least expect it. And when it does, you will be glad you waited. Rest in this assurance.

IN HIS PRESENCE is written by Oke Chinye.
Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?

He says in Mathew 11:28, “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He longs to give you rest."

Would you like to do so now? Here’s a prayer you can say:
Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.

If you prayed this prayer, send me an email at rockteachingministry@gmail.com

I would love to pray with you personally and send you a copy of my book; ‘Living the Life’ to encourage you as you begin your new life in Christ.
