HE IS ALWAYS WITH YOU

Read: Psalm 121:1-8

Meditation verse:

“The Lord shall preserve you from all evil. He shall preserve your soul” (Psalm 121)

When my children were little, I would often put them at the back seat of my car and drive them to different places. On this day, we had been out all day and I decided to make a quick stop at a shop before heading home. My intention was to leave them in the car, dash in and quickly get the items I needed. I packed in front of the shop, got out of the car, and closed the door behind me. I had taken a few steps when I turned to look towards the car, to my horror, the car was moving and I saw my little children at the back of the moving car, shouting and waving their hands at me. In my haste, I had forgotten to put the automatic gear in the park.

I ran towards the car screaming hysterically, managed to get hold of the driver’s door, and jumped in to gain control of the car that was at this time seconds away from a gutter. I have often shuddered to imagine what would have happened if I had not looked back when I did. The children said they began screaming as soon as I left, but I did not hear them. Indeed, I have wondered what made me look back the exact moment I did. I am certain now that the One who promised to preserve me from all evil, made me do what I did at that exact moment.

Psalm 121 says that the Lord is our keeper and the shade at our right-hand. He will not allow our foot to be moved. He is always on duty. He does not slumber nor sleep. He will preserve our going out and coming in always. “I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth”.

IN HIS PRESENCE is written by Oke Chinye.
Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?

He says in Mathew 11:28, “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He longs to give you rest."

Would you like to do so now? Here’s a prayer you can say:
Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.

If you prayed this prayer, send me an email at rockteachingministry@gmail.com

I would love to pray with you personally and send you a copy of my book; ‘Living the Life’ to encourage you as you begin your new life in Christ.
