FEELING LONELY?
Read: Luke 15:1–31
Meditation Verse:
“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?” (Luke 15:4)
The ‘one’ is important to God. That unsaved one. That lost one. That forgotten one. That lonely one. The one who feels different from everyone else. This ‘one’ is so important to the Father that He leaves the ninety-nine to go after them.
To man, it makes no sense. It seems like a bad move. What if He loses the ninety-nine in His bid to go after the one? But God is the Almighty—His love is wide enough to cover the ninety-nine while He goes after the lost one. The lost one is most at risk because they are alone, forgotten, and forsaken. So the Father pursues them until He finds them.
Gospel singer Cory Asbury describes this kind of love as “reckless love.” Not because God is reckless, but because His love moves without caution or limits. It seeks out the broken, the sinner, the left out, the misunderstood.
In Luke 15:1–2, tax collectors and sinners gathered around Jesus, but the Pharisees muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” That’s the reckless love of the Father.
In Luke 19, as Jesus passed through Jericho, He looked up into a tree and called out Zacchaeus—a tax collector who had climbed up just to get a glimpse of Him. That’s the reckless love of the Father.
In the parable of the prodigal son, the lost son squandered his inheritance, ran far away, and hit rock bottom. But when he came to his senses and returned home, his father ran to meet him with open arms. That’s the reckless love of the Father.
The love of God is searching for you right now—whether you feel alone, different, abandoned, ashamed, sinful, afraid, or forgotten. No matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been:
You matter to Him.
You are not invisible. He sees you.
And His love will find you.

Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?
He says in Mathew 11:28, “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He longs to give you rest."
Would you like to do so now? Here’s a prayer you can say:
Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.
If you prayed this prayer, send me an email at rockteachingministry@gmail.com
