WHAT IS YOUR DREAM? (2)

Read: Exodus 36:1-8

Meditation verse:

“Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, everyone whose heart was stirred, to come and do the work” (Exodus 36:2).

YOUR GIFTS AND NATURAL ABILITIES

Your gift or natural ability is an inborn proficiency in a particular area and is an indication of what your purpose in life should be. It could be physical, such as a special sporting ability. It could be Inspirational such as an uncanny ability to lead and motivate people into action, or a special ability with words. Artistic abilities include singing, acting, or creating beauty with your hands. Mental or intellectual abilities include wisdom, problem solving, planning and organization skills or ability to create wealth. Spiritual gifts include prophesy and healing.

Humans are imbued with a bundle of abilities. Unfortunately, most of these are latent. Human beings are a goldmine of potential which must be discovered and harnessed, else it will remain dormant and useless both to the carrier and the potential benefactors alike. You should be very deliberate about discovering your abilities because they form a huge part of the resources you need to build and live out your dream. “You cannot be anything you want to be – but you can be a lot more of who you are already” (Tom Rath).

In identifying your gifts, some question you should ask include:

• What comes easily to me? What stands me out?

• What do I always receive commendations from people for?

• What is that one thing that people look to me for?

• What qualities in me do people admire?

• Where have I been the most successful?

• Where have I seen fruit in my life that others have confirmed?

Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.
