TAKE NO THOUGHT FOR TOMORROW
Read: MATTHEW 6: 25-34
Meditation verse:“Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?”.
Learn to live in the present and not worry about tomorrow. Does this mean you should not plan for the future? The answer is no. Planning for tomorrow entails putting in place well thought out plans. It is action -based, and time well spent. Worrying about tomorrow is fretting and agitating without taking any action. It is harmful as it interferes with your productivity, and it portrays lack of faith in God.
The same God who put life in you, can surely be trusted with the details of your life. Jesus instructs us to take no thought for tomorrow, but rather focus on His kingdom and righteousness. When you make God your priority, everything you need will, in due course, be given to you. Rather than fretting over prevailing circumstances, the psalmist yearned for God in the midst of his distresses. He said “why are you cast down, o my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance” (Psalm 42:5).
Are you currently worried over a future occurrence? Realise you have very little control and commit it to God. Praying about tomorrow, is time well spent. Worrying about tomorrow is time wasted.

Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?
Jesus says in Mathew 11:28; “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. No matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been, this invitation is for you. Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart; all you need to do is invite Him in, by believing and receiving Him.
Are you ready? Here’s a prayer you can say right now:
Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of grace. I believe that Jesus died to set me free from my sins. Thank You Jesus for dying to save me. Please forgive me for all my sins and come into my heart. Be my Lord and Saviour. Fill me with Your Spirit and enable me to live for You from now onwards, in Jesus’ name, Amen
If you prayed this prayer, please email me at rockteachingministry@gmail.com and let me know about it. I would love to pray with you personally and send you a copy of my eBook; ‘Living the Life’ to encourage you as you begin your journey with Jesus.
