BUILD YOUR FAITH

Read: Hebrews 11:1-40

Meditation verse:

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1)

The bible in Hebrews 11 speaks of faith as “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. It goes on to highlight the different exploits enabled by faith. Through faith, people subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens, and received their dead raised to life again. Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. Still others had trial of mocking and scourging, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two and were tempted”.

What does this teach us about faith? That it is a critical success factor. Faith enables, creates, and restores what is lost. It strengthens and builds up. Through faith, you can call to being the things you want to see happen in your life. With faith, you can move mountains. Through faith you can accomplish anything you desire. With faith you can preserver and bear any challenging situation. Through faith you can defy insurmountable odds.

We should therefore be focused on building or increasing our faith daily and here are two quick ways you can begin to achieve that. Get to know the Author and Finisher of your faith more intimately and the way to do that is by spending time in His presence in prayers. The more you know Him, the more you become like Him. Secondly, load yourself with the word of God. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

IN HIS PRESENCE is written by Oke Chinye.
Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?

He says in Mathew 11:28, “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He longs to give you rest."

Would you like to do so now? Here’s a prayer you can say:
Dear Jesus, I believe that You died to save me from all my sins. Today, I invite you into my heart and I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive all my sins and help me to live my life for You.

If you prayed this prayer, send me an email at rockteachingministry@gmail.com

I would love to pray with you personally and send you a copy of my book; ‘Living the Life’ to encourage you as you begin your new life in Christ.
